Release Notes 2026

5 min read

Every release of Advanced Filters & Gadgets, newest first: new features, improvements and anything worth knowing before you update.

i
Updates install automatically. Advanced Filters & Gadgets ships as a Forge rolling release, so there’s no update button and nothing to schedule. The exception is a release that asks for new permissions. A Jira admin has to approve those, and until they do, only the features that need them stay inactive. See Installation.

25 September 2026: Release 1.1.2 #

Version 1.1.2

AreaWhat changed
Flexi Charts export The Flexi Charts gadget’s CSV, Excel and PDF exports carry every category of the breakdown under the current filters, up to the export limit stated in the file: not only the categories the chart draws under its Categories shown setting. The chart keeps its limit and its Other slice or, without one, its note; the PDF’s picture is the chart as drawn. A chart with a Split by, and the Two Dimensional Statistics gadget, export their matrix as drawn, and a matrix file cut by the export limit now keeps its Total row.
Names and JQL already refused Every item dialog (quick filter, field control, smart rule and its clauses, custom value, custom ratio, time series, queue and view) keeps Save or Create held after a name already in use or a JQL Jira rejects, with that reason as its tooltip, until you change the field. A double click sends one save.
Refused saves keep the form In a page or gadget opened before an update, a save the new version refuses (a name already in use, a value it does not accept, the seconds while the update is being set up) is shown with everything you typed kept, instead of reloading the page. The page reloads on its next read. This applies from the update after this one, since an open page runs the version it was opened with.
Wording The Controller’s warning for a preset that cannot be applied in full now says that the preset was applied whole and that the part it cannot apply matches no work items until you remove it. A field control’s repeated label, a clause’s repeated name and a view’s taken name are each named as what they are.

24 September 2026: Release 1.1.1 #

Version 1.1.1

AreaWhat changed
Disabled controls explain themselves Every control the app holds for a reason (Save while nothing changed, Create while a name is missing, Delete while something still depends on the object, an export while the last read failed) now carries that reason as its tooltip and as its accessible description, on the global page, the administration page and in every gadget. A press does nothing while the reason stands, and the control keeps keyboard focus.
Names already in use When a filter, view or metric name is refused because it is already in use, the dialog holds its Save or Create button with that refusal until you change the name, so a second press cannot resend the refused name. Every dialog sends one request for a double press.
Keyboard focus A gadget toolbar’s menu returns focus to its button after an item closes it. After Create filter, the new filter’s heading takes focus. The filter library’s rows share one height whether or not a filter has a description.
Statistics export The Statistics gadget’s CSV, Excel and PDF exports carry every row of the breakdown under the current filters and sort, up to the export limit stated in the file: not only the rows the gadget shows under its Rows shown setting, which stays as it was on screen.
Loading Screens that load on demand show their own skeleton while they load, never a spinner, and a gadget waits for the app’s own ready signal before its first read right after an update, so the seconds of setup pass without a refusal on screen.
Wording The Controller’s key selector mode is named Work item key search. Export column headings are unchanged.

Version 1.1.0

AreaWhat changed
Percentages Every percentage is computed as 100 × a / b and rounded half away from zero at the shown precision: the same on tiles, statistics cells, gauges, chart labels and in the PDF. Where the previous rounding fell on an exact half, a displayed percentage moves by one in its last digit: 23 of 40 read 57% and now reads 58%; 57 of 200 read 28% and now reads 29%. Your data and your configurations are unchanged. CSV and Excel exports keep the numeric quotient at full precision, as before.
Loading states Every control that fetches data (a tab, a picker, a toggle, a Controller filter, the Results view switch) shows its loading state on the very next render, keeps the content’s height and keeps your keyboard focus.
Right after an update For a few seconds after an update installs, gadgets show Setting up Advanced Filters and pages wait under their skeleton while the app’s storage is prepared, then load by themselves: nothing to press.
Presets and state links Saving a preset or copying a state link refuses a value the control cannot read (a malformed date or number, a kind that does not fit the control, a quick filter or smart rule the advanced filter no longer has) before anything is written. A state saved earlier that carries such a condition is never applied in part: the gadget says so, and you can remove exactly that condition and keep the rest.
Results gadget The view menu opens above the table. A clipped value shows whole on hover and by keyboard. Wrap long values wraps. Every icon button names itself on hover, and the tooltip leaves with the press that opens a menu. A menu closes on a click anywhere on the dashboard.
Exports Exporting while a condition on the dashboard cannot be applied says so and names what to do: remove what cannot be applied, then export again.
